Shared! I miss Il Buco since moving out of NYC, it's one of the coziest spots around. As for recipes, I've been craving a refreshing pasta salad for the summer months! Or a hearty vegetarian bolognese sauce 🍝 Would love to see your take!
Isn’t it just the best!! I have the perfect summer pasta salad for you. I’ll get it on the June/July recipes. I also love the idea of a heart veg bolognese. Challenge accepted :) Thanks for being here. Hope you and your friends enjoy. Xx
Labneh is a tad hard to come by here. Maybe a recipe to make your own would be nice? The salad sounds tasty. Wondering if fresh mozzarella would be an ok substitute for the salad?
Ok, this would be difficult without anchovies but looking for somebody to invent a tasty vegetarian Puttanesca sauce to go with for a tasty summer pasta.
And one more challenge…some kind of tasty baked good that uses cream of tartar. Years ago Bert Greene had a scone recipe that did but lost the clipping in one of my many moves and no sightings online of his recipe. Maybe you could invent one? Was very light, fluffy, tall scone I used for strawberry shortcake substitute, splitting scones and serving with fresh berries and homemade whipped cream.
Congrats on your new newsletter here. I am disabled senior and can’t sadly afford subscriptions here but appreciate you will have some free recipes. I do own your cookbook which I love. When is your next one coming out…hint, hint😀
Ok, great about thick yogurt. I have made curd in the past by hanging yogurt bundled in cheesecloth and letting whey drain out. Wonder if I did this process but for less time I could approximate labneh?
Hiiii!! You can use plain thick Greek yogurt if you like! Or you could take that swoosh of Labne out and just use mozzarella. This salad would love it!! Enjoy 🤍
I am one thousand percent making this. You’re a legend Odette!
No, you’re a legend. 🛼
Yummm! I’m going to make this salad tonight!!!!

With summer coming up, give it a go. I always love the look of draining dairy in cheesecloth.
